Who can see and join my event? (Privacy levels)
Two settings control each event: who can see it (public, link only, or your group) and who can join (from anyone, to approval required, to invite only).
When you create an event, you choose two things: who can see it, and who can join. In plain terms:
Who can see it
- Public — anyone can find it, including people browsing for games nearby.
- Link only — only people you send the link to can see it; it isn't listed anywhere.
- Restricted — only your group's members can see it.
Who can join
- Anyone can join — no approval needed.
- Request approval to join — people ask first, and you approve each one.
- Your group only — open to your group's members.
- Your group, approval required — members ask first, and you approve.
- Invite only — only people you invite directly can sign up.
Tip: Start more private if you're unsure — you can always open it up later.
