How does the waitlist work for hosts?
When a seat opens up it is offered to the next person on the waitlist — normally as a time-limited link they have to claim — and you can promote anyone yourself from the guest list.
Once your event fills up, new sign-ups join the waitlist in order. You don't have to manage it — but you can.
- Automatic — when someone cancels (or doesn't finish paying), the seat is offered to the next person in line. Normally that means they're emailed a link to claim it: the window is 24 hours by default but never more than half the time left before your event, and inside the last two hours no automated offer goes out at all — freed seats surface to you to fill at the door instead. If an offer lapses it moves to the next person and they come off the waitlist.
- By hand — in your event's guest list, tap the up arrow next to a waitlisted player to promote them yourself.
Tip: For paid events, a seat being paid for is held for 15 minutes. If the payment doesn't go through, the seat frees up and passes to the next person in line.
